Sparkle Network’s Heartbreakers Comedy Night in Mount Clemens a Valentine’s Day tradition
Looking to plan something fun for Valentine’s Day?
Maybe a gift that gives back?
The Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids, A Girl Like Me and The Daisy Project are just a few of the charities that will benefit from the Sparkle Network’s Heartbreakers Comedy Night at the historic Emerald Theatre in Mount Clemens Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
Headliners for the annual event include Moe Lietz and Amit Jain, who have been part of it since the beginning. Also on the bill are Bret Hayden, Paolo Busignani and for the eighth year running, Mike Ball.
“This show has a few hints back to the first year and a couple cool surprises which is what we like to do at our events,” said Lietz, a comedian and founder of the Sparkle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating awareness about the Macomb County’s local charities and the work that they do in the community, while also providing support of their own contributions through signature programs like the Prom Closet Project, which provides formal wear to needy seniors looking to attend their high school proms. Among its biggest fundraisers for the year is the Heartbreakers Comedy Night held annually around Valentine’s Day.
“It continues to happen each year because people want to support local charities and see their support happen in front of their eyes,” said Lietz.
Tickets options for the show, all of which include snacks and the infamous goody bag are:
• $35 for a single ticket
• $60 couples ticket
• $120 for two couples
• $350 for a table on the main floor that includes the dinner and the show and a special Valentine’s Day goody bag.
