Happy October y’all!  It’s been a little while since my last income report but today, I’m here to present my September 2020 blog income report.

This income report is my highest one yet since starting this small blog so I’m super excited to show you how much I earned.

In my September 2020 income report, I'll show you how I earned $930.49 from my small blog. | blogging traffic | skyrocket your traffic | blog income report | blog traffic report | affiliate marketing | earn money online | make money online | money making tips | make money blogging | tailwind | pinterest tips | social media marketing | ad revenue | blogging tools | blogging tips | blog tips | start a blog | work from home | side hustles

Why am I writing income reports?

If you don’t know what an income report is, it’s a report where bloggers breakdown their traffic, how much they made during the month, and their goals for the next month.

There are a few reasons why I’m writing income reports on my blog.

1. To keep myself accountable. Writing up a monthly report is a great way to keep myself accountable. I am letting the internet know my results and future goals so it’s a great way to keep me motivated and on track.

2. To stay transparent. I want to be as transparent and honest to my readers.

3. To inspire others.  I started this blog to show others that it’s totally possible to make money blogging.

In fact, I was inspired to start this blog because of the income reports published by successful bloggers who are digital nomads and earn six-figure incomes a month.

It’s crazy to know that nowadays you can now make a career out of being a blogger and create your own life of freedom.

September 2020 Income And Traffic Report

september 2020 traffic

In September, I received 13,018 pageviews mostly from Pinterest and SEO.  This has been the average number of pageviews over the past few months so this isn’t anything new.

My Pinterest account still gets 1.6 million monthly views which I’m super happy about.  The number of monthly views really don’t matter much as it’s the clicks to my site that are most important but it’s still a nice number for vanity sake.

Now, on to my earnings.

This month was a crazy month for me and my little blog.  I didn’t spend much time on this blog at all (mostly only made fresh pins and updated old posts) but I am very pleased with the results.

As I’ve said before in a recent income report, I no longer run Google Adsense ads on this site.

The reason why is that I don’t want to sacrifice page speed for a small amount of ad revenue and until I make it to a higher paying ad network, that’s how it’ll stay.  Because of that, I’m currently only relying on affiliate marketing to make money on this site.

Although I don’t get very many pageviews each month here compared to other blogs, I’ve been fine tuning my affiliate marketing.  By updating old posts and promoting different affiliate products that are higher in payout (because promoting more expensive products means having to sell less of them), I am happy to say this month that I was able to earn almost $1,000.

When I first started, I thought you needed tons of traffic in order to make any money.

But that is totally not true!

Having a niche blog that is targeted to a certain audience that resonates with your content and message is more important than just getting tons and tons of non-targeted pageviews.

This income report is proof that you don’t need a ton of pageviews to your blog to earn money online.

Total September Earnings: $930.49

Affiliate Sales – $930.49

Ads – $0

Total September Expenses: $14.21

Most of these reoccurring expenses were paid upfront but I like to break down the cost of my expenses each month just so that it’s easier for me to see how much I actually earned in total with my expenses deducted.

Bluehost Hosting – $2.49

Namecheap Domain – $0.66

Tailwind – $9.99

Paypal Fees – $1.07

Total September Net Income: $916.28

Blogging Tools & Resources

Here are my essential blogging tools and resources I recommend that helped me to make money on my small blog this month.  I always believe in investing in yourself to gain new skills and blogging is no different in my opinion.

Bluehost

If you haven’t started a blog yet, you’ll want to sign up with a fast host that provides good customer service to ensure that everything goes smooth.  Bluehost is my #1 recommendation if you’re just starting out. They have awesome, affordable plans that start as low as $2.95/month.

Tailwind

Tailwind is a must-have tool alongside Pinterest if you want to be as efficient as possible and gain blog traffic relatively quickly.

It’s one blog investment that I didn’t bat an eye on purchasing because it allows you to schedule out your pins in advance and send traffic to your blog even while you’re asleep or out having fun.  This leaves you time to do other important things such as marketing your blog elsewhere or writing new content.

Try Tailwind for 1-month free and see how it grows your blog traffic!

Pinteresting Strategies

Don’t want to invest in Tailwind?  Well then, a great resource for you if you want to manually pin instead is Pinteresting Strategies.

This affordable course is jammed-packed with great strategies that will help you manually pin with great success and gain explosive traffic.

This course even has tips on how to optimize your Pinterest account which is so important in order to be successful on the platform so that is a great bonus!

Journey To The Center Of Amazon

Journey To The Center Of Amazon is an essential course to take to improve your Amazon affiliate earnings.

If you’re a beginner and haven’t started making money yet on Amazon, this course by Debbie Gartner is the course to take.  It’s simple and easy to follow but filled with tons of information for both beginners and intermediate bloggers.
