Security Certified Professional Program

The
Security Certified Program (SCP) was launched in response to
industry demand for a vendor-neutral certification option for
information security professionals.

The
program features two levels of certification covering both core
skills and integrated security technologies, such as intrusion
detection system (IDS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI),
firewalls, biometrics, and forensics.

Level
One (defense) –
Security
Certified Network Professional (SCNP)

  • Basic
    components: firewall systems, intrusion detection, and VPNs

  • Two
    courses and two exams:

    • Network
      Security Fundamentals

    • Network
      Defense and Countermeasures

Level
Two (trust): Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA)

  • Where
    all businesses will need to be soon with respect to security

  • Two
    courses and two exams

    • Advanced
      Security Implementation

    • Enterprise
      Security Solutions
