Schneider Electric IT appoints first Vietnamese female director for Vietnam
Tran Mai Huong will oversee the management and implementation of all activities of Schneider Electric IT in Vietnam and Cambodia. She has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry at leading corporations in Vietnam such as Microsoft and IBM. In 2020, she joined Schneider Electric IT Vietnam as sales manager for Corporate Clients.
“I feel very honoured to be trusted by Schneider Electric for the new appointment. I am well-prepared to take the new position, contributing to the development of the technology industry in general and Schneider Electric IT in particular. This is a great opportunity for me to pursue my career path and engage more deeply in pioneering and inspiring people, especially young female talents in Vietnam,” Huong said.
The appointment is testament to Schneider Electric’s efforts to encourage employees, especially women, to pursue their passions. At the same time, the company is willing to appoint female employees to senior management positions to promote gender equality at the workplace.
The appointment is taking place amidst the fierce competition in the market as well as the challenges caused by the global pandemic.
Huong said, “As the market becomes more demanding, we need to resolve the requirements for expertise, operation, and products. Meanwhile, the issue of cost competition must be taken into account.”
“Schneider Electric is ready to anticipate new trends and fluctuations. The company is completely proactive in terms of strategy and action. We will constantly change to adapt, develop, and continue to improve the group’s long-term commitment to bringing the best value to customers, partners, and promoting cooperation to a new level,” she said, adding the company’s future development strategy will focus on human resources, customers, and partners, as well as the community.
