[SOLVED] Network Drive Issue – Windows Network: The local device name is already in use. – Windows Forum

Hello all,

One of my user gets this message when she tries to connect to the mapped network drive on your company Windows 10 machine such as \\server.company.com\sharedfolder

Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored.”

I tried restarting, deleting mapped network drives and re-adding using net use command.

She can connect to the Network Drives under our company wifi and guest wifi, but her mobile hotspot and home wifi gives above error even if she is connected to our company vpn.

Any suggestions what I can do or check? She definitely has a permisison to a folder as she can access it just fine through IPs and on her desk.
