SAP Business Network: FAQ for New Buyer Portal – ANG Infotech
Below are frequently asked questions about the new SAP Business Network buyer portal homepage and workbench. For specific details about the release, please review the Feature-at-a-Glance document.
Q: Is SAP Business Network a new solution? How is it different from Ariba Network?
A: Ariba Network is now part of SAP Business Network. SAP Business Network is the solution name under which three SAP networks are unified: Ariba Network, SAP Logistics Business Network and SAP Asset Intelligence Network. SAP Business Network was announced in 2021, and you will begin to see this new solution name replacing Ariba Network on the buyer portal.

Q: How does the new login page affect my credentials?
A: There are no changes in terms of network functions nor your credentials. Only the brand name on the login page changes from Ariba Network to SAP Business Network. If you have SSO or MFA enabled, this functionality will continue to work with the new login page.
Q: What is a trading partner?
A: Trading partner is any organization that can connect and transact on the network. It can refer to suppliers/sellers as well.
Q: Why am I still seeing the classic portal after the new buyer portal is has been released?
A: This is part of the roll out strategy (not a defect). We’ll be rapidly increasing the number of transitioned ANIDs within a few weeks following the 2208 release. If your ANID has an associated development (-D) account, the new buyer portal will be enabled for your production, test and dev account in Q4 2022.
Q: Is there any way to return to the old portal view?
A: Yes, under the user icon, you will find an option for “Back to Classic”. Clicking on this link will take you to the old portal view. The “Back to Classic” function applies to each individual session, so you will see the new portal the next time you log in. The “Back to Classic” link is provided on a temporary basis, and will communicate in advance when there is a planned date for removal.
