Reddit – Dive into anything

I have a client that wants me to build a SCADA system for their operation. I was looking at Groov Epic but I was wondering if there’s something cheaper that I can run on a PC, Linux, or windows.

What I need to be able to do is poll 30+ devices over Modbus/TCP and MQTT. What I like about Groov is they have a user system where you can designate who can look at what.

I’m also aware of Ignition but at that price tag, it’s too much for their budget. It doesn’t need anything fancy or fast, just something so they can monitor their day-to-day operations.
