Orientation – Pitt Business
Mục Lục
August 14-25, 2023 – FT Master’s Orientation
August 19 & 20, 2023 – PMBA Orientation
The foundation of our orientation programming is built on three things:
- The opportunity for you to build relationships with your peers as well as faculty and staff. Each group is a key part to supporting you in your master’s experience.
- To understand the expectations we have of you as a member of the Katz community, and the expectations of your specific academic program. Orientation explores expectations related to both academics and engagement in co-curricular activities.
- To learn about the resources and unique programming available to you that will assist with your academic, career, and professional development.
Make sure you join the 2023 Admits Facebook Group!
- Orientation for all full-time master’s students will take place on August 14-25. We recommend that all students arrive in Pittsburgh in early August to get comfortable in the city before orientation begins. Orientation for PT MBA students beginning in Fall 2023 will be in late August.
Please note that attendance is mandatory for all students.
Materials will be provided to you at orientation and will be available for you to review when orientation has been completed. During orientation, you will receive an official Katz Graduate School of Business backpack. Look for more information about when distribution will be.
- Social & Networking Events will be offered prior to the start of Orientation.
Questions about Orientation
Please e-mail [email protected] if you have questions or conflicts regarding orientation programming. For financial aid or other admissions-related questions, please e-mail Admissions or call them at 412-648-1508. We will be communicating with you more over the coming weeks as you prepare and travel to campus, and you should make it a habit to check your Pitt email account for orientation communications.
Dress Code
We ask that you dress in smart casual attire for orientation. Please check the schedule for special events where more specific attire is requested. Other dress-code examples are business professional, and casual (t-shirt and jeans). Please see here for further descriptions of the various dress-codes.
Dietary Preferences
During the course of orientation, we will be hosting a number of dining events. Please make sure that you complete the Pre-Orientation Survey if you have not done so when it was sent by email, and make sure that you note any dietary preferences and restrictions. Our staff will do their best to accommodate any dietary needs you may have.
