MI Home Security Camera 360 1080p NAS Stuck on Configuration and Not able to find the shared folder – Tech – Xiaomi Community – Xiaomi
However, let me resolve your problem of NAS connectivity with your MI Home Security Camera 360 1080p.
You have to have a micro SD Card (Max 64 GB) inserted in the camera slot. NAS abbreviated from Network Attached Storage, so to effectively connect your MI Home Security Camera with your PC or with any other storage device attached to the same wireless network as of your camera, first, (i) you may like to create a folder (say,
NAS_Folder
preferably created within the shared folders in your PC) then (ii) you need to map that folder as network drive say drive “N”- The folder will be mapped like this
NAS_Folder (:N)
– then (iii) share the mapped folder on the same wireless network as of your camera. Further, (iv) you may like to customize the template and icon of the folder as video – also applicable to all its sub folders, and select image of the folder as a network drive respectively. Now you are done with the Network Attached Folder (drive) in your PC.
Now, go to MI Home app, follow the procedure, from there as you login your computer, the mapped folder will be visible for selection as a network drive. Select it and proceed, your camera would create a folder within the mapped folder/drive in your PC and would start copying video clips in your PC as NAS, those video clips stored in the Micro SD Card as inserted in your camera.
By the way, you won’t incur internet charges for transfering these video clips as these video files are transferred on WiFi through your Wireless router, no internet applies. Internet connectivity is required only when you like to monitor the camera through your Android mobile phone from a remote location.
