I Joined Pi Network a Year Ago
Was it worth the time invested?
Pi Network on my phone
To be honest, I have seen a lot of opinions on the world wide web about Pi Network. Because this app is so user-friendly and so promising, but especially due to its invite system, it has reached all kinds of users, from people who are crypto experts, to people who have no idea what Pi is, but they joined because their friends invited them, with a promise them they can make money with it.
What Is Pi Network and Why Did I Join?
To make money, of course…
For those who don’t know yet what Pi Network is, this is a crypto project that allows you to mine its currency on your smartphone, but the mining is simulated until the Mainnet is finished and the coins will be transferred to this Mainnet. This allows mining on the phone without any resource being used, except consuming the battery like many other apps that you use anyway.
Founded and developed by Standford Ph.D.’s, the project may have a monetary value once it will be listed on exchanges. It could be any value, so having as much Pi as you can in the time before its launch, is the way to go. The initial idea was to provide a cryptocurrency for everybody because not all people afford to mine or buy crypto.

What impressed me when I joined the program was that there are chats in different languages within the app, and here people can talk about everything and there are moderators who can help you understand the program better. I joined the Pi Network in April 2020 and all I had to do was to get in the app every day and tap the earn button once.
Was this worth my time? The idea back then was (and still is) that no matter if Pi Network will be a successful crypto project or not, tapping once a day, is the least effort you can invest for having the possibility of becoming rich or at least have some money to spend. Even if the project is not successful, you don’t actually have anything to lose.
Is There Any Danger for Using the App?
Not really…
If you are worried that the people behind the Pi Network want to steal your personal data and are just using you to show you ads, just think about it: other apps may be doing this anyway. Also, if you are one of those people who are complaining that it takes too much effort to give one tap a day…come on! Really? You are joking, right?
How Much Would Pi Be Worth When It’s Listed?
It could be any value
As you can see from the image, I have thousands of Pi and even if one Pi would be worth 0.01 dollars, I would still get something in the beginning and the value would rise in time anyway. Just think about it: Pi Network has almost 20 million users and its Mainnet is not even launched yet, at the time I am writing this, and the cryptocurrency with the most users is Bitcoin with a number of more than one million users already achieved.
Bottom Line
Pi Network has a lot of potential, with the condition that the team behind it will succeed in developing all the things that they promise. The Mainnet launch is supposed to be in December 2021. We are waiting for it. Until then, mine Pi while you can, because the hourly rate will either halve or fall to zero eventually…
