The Honda Activa 6G is one of the most popular models in its category, offering decent performance and mileage figures, along with an endearing design. 

How is the design? 

The Honda Activa 6G comes with an edgier front end with a slimmer headlight and also a revamped chrome accent for its apron. The mudguard has a different design along with being quite similar to the one present for the Activa 125. The scooter gets similar side panels with a revamped tilt towards the back. The plastic components are not all high on quality though. The rear end of the scooter is brand new and takes inspiration from the Activa 125 for its tail lamp as well. The metal body remains the same with changes made only to the headlamp portion and the apron centrepiece.

The Honda Activa 6G comes with a 110-cc engine that makes 7.68 hp and 8.79 Nm of maximum torque. The engine feels livelier with its own fuel-injection system, while offering higher smoothness and refinement than the earlier version. The refinement levels are not compromised even on the top-end of the power band when the engine is pushed hard, near about the rev limiter. This stays the same even after outstripping 70 kmph and the scooter does not feel underpowered. With regard to its highest speed, the scooter can touch about 80 kmph comfortably. Honda claims that speed has gone up with the new engine and this could be a bigger attraction for riders. 

How does the Honda Activa 6G ride? 

The Honda Activa 6G rides smoothly, with its higher wheelbase and front telescopic fork along with its 12-inch wheel in front. The frame is almost the similar as the Activa 125 and the only difference is that there is more strengthening this time around, for enabling higher power and weight alike. The Honda Activa 6G does not feel jittery at higher speeds and you can smoothly change lanes, while you do feel the floating effect at speeds surpassing 60 kmph. The better stability and handling do not compromise on ride quality. The scooter can take up undulations and potholes neatly too. The engine is not as quick or responsive while acceleration is slightly sluggish. The Honda Activa 6G feels decent overall while riding.

The Honda Activa 6G feels comfortable while riding and offers good ergonomics alongside. The handlebar positioning is more accessible, while having taller forks at the same time. The bar may also come into contact with the knees of the rider. The feet also remain comfortable overall, and the seating position is not excessively high while the footboard room is also sufficient.

The 6G gets a kill switch cum starter button while it is also completely silent. There is a pass light switch which is another handy option. There is also the external fuel filler cap which may be remotely opened. There is an LED headlamp with the Deluxe variant. There is also a front disc brake while there are 18 litres of under-seat storage. There are also features like a boot light and USB charger.

The first service comes at 1,000 km while the second one is at 4,000 km. The third and fourth service happen at 8,000 and 12,000 km respectively. The fifth service will be at 12,000 km. The first three services are free of charge.

The Honda Activa 6G is a much-improved offering as compared to its previous version. It is more feature-packed than before and there are several updates that you can choose as well. It is also slightly costlier than the TVS Jupiter which is a key rival. Yet, you do get improved performance and refinement levels along with a stylish and attractive design as well.
