HPI Savage XL Flux GTXL-1 – The ferocious RC Monster Truck in the HPI range!

Dominate your neighborhood streets, skateparks and terrain with the HPI Savage XL Flux, which offers a huge blast of speed with it’s 6S compatible ESC and 2200 kv motor – all made manageable in the long wheelbase 1/8 monster truck chassis with 4-wheel drive. Pull off huge jumps or blast around on pretty much all surfaces, thanks to the rugged GT-2 all-terrain tires.

The HPI Savage XL Flux runs on 4S-6S LiPo batteries, in a combination of either 2x 2S or 2x 3S LiPo batteries. The battery case fits a wide variety of sizes, but for maximum performance and batterylife, we recommend using the extra long HPI 3S LiPo batteries designed to fill all available space in the battery tray.

The electronics are waterproof and the car is delivered as Ready-to-Run, including a 2.4 ghz radio system, a prepainted body and all electronics needed. All you need to go blasting is batteries and a charger.

The legendary HPI Racing durability

An RC monster truck takes a ton of abuse with jumps, chrashes and rolls. Thankfully, the HPI Savage line of products have a well-earned reputation of class-leading durability. The chassis is made from 2.5mm thick alu panels with alu support and protection on all critical areas of the car. The suspension arm and uprights are made from ultra-hard webbed plastics designed to take the hard impacts from jumps and the drivetrain consists of dogbones, gears, axles and protective cases all crafted from high-grade and sintered steel.

Savage XL Flux handles like a champ

Let’s get one thing out of the way to begin with – the 6S powered HPI Savage XL Flux is incredibly fast and should not be handled by beginners. That being said, the Savage XL is one of the most well-handling, fast monster trucks out there, thanks to its long wheelbase and low center of gravity, helping you keep it the right way up though fast twists and turns.

The big GT-2 tires grips well on all surfaces, but if you prefer to blast about on pavement, we recommend installing HPI Racing Phaltlines tires – with 6S power that will take the HPI Savage XL Flux up to over 60 mph (100 km/h)!
