Step 1. Click Start and choose Settings.
Step 2. Select Network & Internet in the Settings window.
Step 3. Click Ethernet and choose Change adapter options.
Step 4. Double click the Network connection that you want to configure and then choose Properties.
Step 5. Click Configure to setup the network adapter card settings.
Step 6. You can configure the network adapter in the dialog box through the tabs of General, Advanced, Driver, Details, Events, Power Management, and then click OK.
Step 7. Open the Ethernet Properties panel again, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click the Properties button.
Tip: In the Ethernet Properties panel, you can click the Install button to add the needed item if the one you need isn’t listed, and you can click the Uninstall button to remove a network item that you don’t need. For example: File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
Step 8. Type in the IP address and DNS server address in the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties panel. If you don’t know IP and DNS, you can choose to obtain them automatically. And then click OK button to close the dialog box.
