Google My Business App Being Deleted – Orthodontic Digital Marketing | Kaleidoscope

Managing your Google Business Profile on a mobile device is going to look different.

Google is emailing business owners about the sunsetting of the Google My Business app. This announcement follows the renaming of Google My Business to Google Business Profile in 2021.

You can still manage your Google Business Profile on a desktop by going to https://www.google.com/business. You can also manage your business directly on Google Maps or Google Search on a smartphone.

The only thing that is going away is the GMB app on your iPhone or Android smartphone.

You will still be able to use Google Search and Google Maps to manage your Google Business Profile on a smartphone. When you open the Google Maps app and look up your business, there will be a blue badge with a checkmark indicating that you have access to manage the listing. (If you don’t see the checkmark, then you are not signed into a Google account that has access to the business profile.)

If you are signed into a Google account with Owner/Manager access, then you will be able to manage the business info & photos, respond to reviews, publish offers & updates, and work with all the other features inside your Google Business Profile, right from your smartphone.
