How do you know the family?

Well, I belong to a developing city of West Bengal named Durgapur. I have been a resident of the city since my childhood. There are a number of places which I like such as shopping complexes, supermarkets, movie halls, and some business centers.

What is the type of business?

But here I would like to talk about a family business named “Biswas Electronics” which is a store for electronics and electrical goods. In 2001, the business was established by one of my father’s good friends Mr. Ramendra Biswas. He started it in a small shop near the market. At that time, he ran this business alone and struggled a lot. He even sold electronic products like bulbs, lamps from door to door. He worked for it very honestly.

What is the story behind the success of the family?

After 6 years, in 2007 he changed his small shop and moved to a bigger shop in a shopping complex. Then he converted his business into a bigger one. He was contracted with a popular electronics brand. Moreover, he included his two sons in his business making it a family business. After it, the shop started to sell a variety of electronic products like Television, and Fridge. Moreover, it also dealt inOTG, Micro oven, Laptops, Mobile Phones, etc. presently, Mr. Biswas’s grandson Mr. Rathin Biswas works in the showroom.

Whenever I visit the place, they all give me respect and tell me about newly launched electronic equipment. Rathin Biswas is my friend. I admire their success. All in all, this is a successful family business about which I know very well.

There are lots of families who run their own businesses and earn a huge amount of money. Today I will talk about one person named, Mr. Mohit Roy who has a business of textiles.

What is the type of business?

He started his business 20 years ago. He used to sell sarees from door to door in our locality. He didn’t have his own store at first. During that time, he used to struggle a lot. But after some years, He owned a small shop near the main market, Kolkata. He started to sell sarees there. People will come across a wide range of sarees in his shop.

What is the story behind the success of the family?

Nowadays he has also included other clothing items like Jeans, T-shirts, Shirts, Trousers for both men and women. He has a plan to make his shop into a showroom. Moreover, he involved his son in the business. His son Mr. Ronit Roy is my childhood friend. Whenever I visit their shop, they used to discuss with me their plans of extending the business. They also showed me new designs and stocks of saree, Jeans, Shirts, etc. Their Shop “Roy Textiles” is now a popular name in the town. The salesman in the shop is always busy handling the customers. All in all, this is a successful family business that I know about.

In the city of Siliguri where I spent my childhood, there is a small shop for tea. We all know that Darjeeling Tea is world-famous for its essence and flavor. The shop owner, Mr. Pratik Sinha, who is my neighbor, used to buy Darjeeling tea and sell it through their shop.

What is the type of business?

The business was started by Mr. Pankaj Sinha who is the father of Mr. Pratik Sinha. In the earlier days, Mr. Pankaj Sinha used to struggle a lot to do well with his business. It is, of course, a family business, and I would like to talk here about it in a brief manner.

Mr. Pankaj Sinha started this business in 1992 where he used to sit in a 4×3 room and used to sell Darjeeling tea leaves.

What is the story behind the success of the family?

Then after a lot of years of struggle, in 2002 he finally bought a new big shop near the supermarket, Siliguri, and named it “Darjeeling Tea Shop”. He started to sell Darjeeling tea leaves along with Assam Tea leaves and powder milk, sugar, and other tea ingredients. It has now become a complete tea shop. He has included his two sons in this business. Lots of salesmen also work in this shop. It has become one of the biggest tea shops in Siliguri and also in West Bengal. Lots of facilities are included in this shop. People can taste the tea leaves after making them in this shop. His sons Pallab Sinha and Pritam Sinha are also dedicated to their business. They want to grow more with their business. They want to build their own brand. They are working on it very honestly. They are selling their items at very affordable prices. Many customers visit their shop daily. Customers are also very satisfied with the shop and seller’s behavior.

All in all, this is a successful family business which I know about and its graph is going upwards since the day it has started.
