Deal alert: Amtrak tickets starting at $19 one-way, $49 for Acela - The Points Guy

Looking for a cheap travel deal and prefer the train over flying? Amtrak is offering fares around the Northeast Corridor for as low as $19 in coach class or $49 in Acela’s popular business class.

Carrier: Amtrak
Routes: Tavel between Boston and Washington.
Trains: Northeast Regional, Carolinian, Pennsylvanian, Keystone, Vermonter, Crescent, Cardinal, Palmetto, Silver Star and Silver Meteor services within the Northeast Corridor.
Cost: Coach seats as low as $19 and $49 Acela business class.
Dates: Sale runs between Jan. 26 to Jan. 29, 2022, for travel from Feb. 1 to May 26, 2022.

This limited-time sale is valid for Amtrak’s coach class and Acela business class on select trains traveling throughout the Northeast Corridor. To book, customers visit https://www.amtrak.com/northeast-getaway-sale or use the Amtrak app.

Note that the discounted fares are not available for Sunday travel and upgrades aren’t allowed. All tickets include two bags and two carry-ons and Amtrak is waiving change fees through April 30, 2022.
