Change network service settings on Mac
Use Network settings on your Mac to change network service settings. Enter the settings you received from your ISP or network administrator.
-
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Settings, then click Network
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Open Network settings for me
-
Click a service on the right, such as Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
If you don’t see the service you expect, see Set up a network service.
-
Click Details, change the settings as needed, then click OK.
Some network connection services, such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, require specific hardware. Use System Information (located in Applications > Utilities) to make sure you have the required hardware installed to set up that service.
