Cartoon Network Japan Debuts Cute New Tom and Jerry Anime

Tom to Jerry

Classic cartoon Tom and Jerry is getting a new look in Japan! Created in 1940, the franchise has ran for more than 80 years, beloved by people around the world. Today, Cartoon Network Japan will be celebrating the series with a marathon of classic episodes, plus the world premiere of their own anime take on the series!

To celebrate “Cheese Day,” (November 11 in Japan), the network will air seven hours of cartoons focusing on Jerry the mouse’s favorite snack. Also during the marathon will be the debut of an anime spin on the series, also titled Tom and Jerry, that combines the fast-paced humor of the original with a cute, “pop” worldview. The pair are joined by the diaper-wearing Tuffy Mouse, another recurring character from the classic cartoon.
