  • Environmental and Social Management Plan or “EMP” means the Recipient’s document prepared and disclosed in accordance with the Environmental and Social Management Framework with respect to the Project (or a Sub-project), that details: (i) the measures to be taken during the implementation and operation of the Project (or a Sub-project) to eliminate or offset adverse environmental or social impacts, or to reduce them to acceptable levels, and (ii) the actions needed to implement these measures.

  • COVID-19 means SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, and any evolutions or mutations thereof or related or associated epidemics, pandemic or disease outbreaks.

  • Business Line means a CenturyLink-owned switched access line used to serve a business customer, whether by CenturyLink itself or by CLEC that leases the line from CenturyLink. The

  • Nuclear fuel cycle-related research and development activities means those activities which are specifically related to any process or system development aspect of any of the following: – conversion of nuclear material, – enrichment of nuclear material, – nuclear fuel fabrication, – reactors, – critical facilities, – reprocessing of nuclear fuel, – processing (not including repackaging or conditioning not involving the separation of elements, for storage or disposal) of intermediate or high-level waste containing plutonium, high enriched uranium or uranium-233, but do not include activities related to theoretical or basic scientific research or to research and development on industrial radioisotope applications, medical, hydrological and agricultural applications, health and environmental effects and improved maintenance.

  • Environmental and Social Management Framework and “ESMF” means the Recipient’s framework dated November 30, 2010, which: (i) sets forth standards, methods and procedures specifying how technological research activities under the Project whose location, number and scale are presently unknown shall systematically address environmental and social issues in the screening and categorization, sitting, design, implementation and monitoring phases during Project implementation; (ii) systematizes the environmental and social impact assessment required for such activities before Project execution; and (iii) stipulates the procedures for conducting site-specific environmental impact assessments, be they limited environmental impact assessments or full environmental impact assessment.

  • Business User means a Customer who uses the Services and/or Equipment in the course of any trade or business;

  • SELLER Business Systems as used in this clause means SELLER’s material management and accounting system, cost estimating system, accounting system, earned value management system, property management system, and purchasing system. If SELLER’s Business Systems are reviewed and approved by a Government agency, SELLER shall provide prompt notice to LOCKHEED MARTIN whenever there is a material change in the status of the Government’s approval or determination of adequacy of any of SELLER’s Business Systems.

  • Business incubator means real and personal property that meets all of the following requirements:

  • Business Systems means all Software, computer hardware (whether general or special purpose), electronic data processing, information, record keeping, communications, telecommunications, networks, interfaces, platforms, servers, peripherals, and computer systems, including any outsourced systems and processes, that are owned or used or held for use in the conduct of the Company Business.

  • Investor Relations Activities means any activities, by or on behalf of the Company or a shareholder of the Company, that promote or reasonably could be expected to promote the purchase or sale of securities of the Company, but does not include:

  • Public Finance Management Act ’ means the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999);

  • Business firm means a person that transacts business on a regular and continual basis, or a person that proposes to transact business on a regular and continual basis.

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • Radiopharmaceutical quality assurance means, but is not limited to, the performance of appropriate chemical, biological, and physical tests on potential radiopharmaceuticals and the interpretation of the resulting data to determine their suitability for use in humans and animals, including internal test assessment, authentication of product history, and the keeping of proper records.

  • North American Numbering Plan (NANP means the numbering architecture in which every station in the NANP Area is identified by a unique ten (10)-digit address consisting of a three (3)-digit NPA code, a three (3)-digit central office code of the form NXX, and a four (4)-digit line number of the form XXXX.

Without limiting the foregoing, the Company Business shall be deemed to include the well completion and servicing business (including, without limitation, hydraulic fracturing, coiled tubing, pressure pumping, wireline, cementing, pressure testing, pump-down, perforating, pipe recovery and other complementary services), petroleum engineering services (including without limitation services in connection with hydraulic fracture stimulation and reservoir engineering), directional drilling and production services.

  • Homemaker services means the professionally directed or supervised simple household maintenance or management services provided by trained homemakers or individuals to families in their own homes.
