Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Business Administration
Undergraduate Level

Candidates should have acquired 50% to 60% in Class 12th. The pass percentile varies from college to college.

Age limit is 22 years for general candidates and 24 years for reserved category.

Universities conduct their entrance examinations to shortlist candidates.

After the results are announced, a cut off list and ranks are prepared by the organisers. Those who qualify the test appear for the counselling process wherein colleges are allocated to candidates based on ranks.
Postgraduate Level

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university. A minimum score of 50% is necessary for a bachelor’s degree.

Students should also appear for entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT is important. Based on scores obtained in the entrance exam students are admitted in colleges and universities.
Students can take direct admission in any college.
Entrance Exam for Business Administration
SET
Symbiosis Entrance Test is an entrance exam conducted to grant admission to undergraduate degree programs. The minimum eligibility to appear in SET is 50% marks in 12th (45% marks for SC/ST students).
The exam is for 150 minutes and is conducted online. Candidates who clear get admissions in undergraduate business administration degrees like BBA.
CAT
Common Admission Test is a national level entrance exam for admission into various postgraduate degrees. A candidate must possess a minimum of 50% marks in bachelor’s degree to appear for CAT.
CAT is conducted only once a year.
SNAP
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is conducted for students to get admission to postgraduate degrees. It is a 2-hour examination with questions on general English, reading comprehension, verbal reasoning and quantitative aptitude. 60,000 MBA aspirants participate every year in CAT.
XAT
Xavier Aptitude Test is one of the popular entrance examinations for MBA. 160+ colleges participate in XAT. XAT takes place online, consists of 100 questions. Compared to other examinations, XAT is more difficult, but it can be cleared with extra time and effort.
MAT
Management Aptitude Test is conducted for MBA admission across India. MAT score is accepted by 600 Indian MBA colleges. MAT is conducted four times in a year in offline and online mode. Management courses are offered after students complete MAT.
