APC UPS and VMware 7
Thank you for following up Moggyman. There would not be a Windows component for you to install. How you install the software really depends on your setup. I would suggest uninstalling the old version of software and just installing the appliance using the OVA template. You will want to click on PowerChute Network Shutdown version 4.4 for virtualization Opens a new window and then click the Download button to view the options. The one you need to download to deploy this as an OVF file is the one titled ”
PowerChute Network Shutdown v4.4 VMware Virtual Appliance (Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex, HPE SimpliVity, VMware vSAN, Hyper-V).” When you deploy an OVA, you are deploying PCNS. So once the OVA is deployed, PCNS gets installed. You will then have to configure PCNS to know if it is a Standalone Host or if the Host(s) is being managed by vCenter Server. I will link the PCNS 4.4 installation guide Opens a new window and PCNS 4.4 User Guide Opens a new window for you. If you run into trouble, you may want to contact your local APC support team for more immediate assistance. I will link our North American Contact Us Opens a new window information for you. If you are in a different country, please select your location at the top of the screen to view your local support team contact information.
I hope this helps!
Patricia
