Cartoon Network is not dead. The network was quick to dismiss the #RIPCartoonNetwork rumours that plagued social media over the weekend once news of their merger with Warner Bros Animation spread like wildfire.

Reports that Warner Bros Television Group (WBTVG) had announced a layoff of about 125 of the original staff didn’t help matters, and a legion of nostalgic 90s kids made their way to Twitter and Instagram to pen heartfelt tributes to their favourite cartoons.
