10 and 11 November 2015 marked two productive and successful days for the Slovenian delegation in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The mission was dedicated and specially tailored for 9 logistics companies with interest in developing their business and cooperation with Vietnam.

On the first morning, the delegates got to explore about the Vietnamese market through a constructive information session followed by an interactive Q&A session. All the presentations were well delivered by the high-profiled and knowledgeable experts, including the deputy director of the EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN), the founder of Vietnam Supply Chain, director of the Vietnam Logistics Institute, Maersk-Vietnam’s general director and representatives from the legal sector and chambers of commerce. “The topics addressed were very useful and practical, an excellent preparation for the second day of B2B meetings,” Ms. Natasa Turk – area director of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The following afternoon, the delegates headed out to visit Cat Lai port – the biggest port of HCMC – and Saigon Co.op’s logistics center – the major retailer in Vietnam. The next day was fully dedicated to pre-arranged B2B meetings. Each Slovenian company met nine to ten Vietnamese companies to discuss about cooperation opportunities. There were a total of 77 meetings conducted.

The mission has ended with positive feedback from the participants and, more importantly, started new chapters for further development between the Slovenia and Vietnam in the logistics sector.
