Human Capital Management (HCM) Senior Business Analyst – RTI International Careers

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience in support of Human Capital Management; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Must be a Certified Business Analyst Professional.  

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Ability to reasonably multi-task 

  • Ability to work well with others, listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing. 

  • Ability to work independently 

  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in communicating status to impacted stakeholders—including end users, GTS support staff, and GTS management—before, during, and after the installation or problem resolution activities as appropriate and in accordance with SOPs 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in developing User Acceptance Test Plans 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in training users and other technical staff per training plan 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in creating a cutover plan that describes how the production system will be deployed (phased or not), and how the system and end users will be supported during deployment. 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in creating a training plan demonstrating an approach, curriculum, users and/or or other technical staff to be trained, schedule, and training materials 

  • In-depth knowledge of or skills in reviewing test results 

  • General knowledge of or skill in developing SOPs and performing knowledge transfers. 

  • General knowledge of or skill in software development methodologies 

  • General knowledge of or skills in developing HCM system standards by applying industry knowledge to business processes, maintain knowledge of information technology and research institute standards, which may include, yet not limited to, application security, business intelligence, or database standards 

  • General knowledge of or skills in participating in planning, design, and implementation activities under the direction of a project lead, while completing tasks in the prescribed time and reporting status or issues to a project lead. 

  • General knowledge of or skills in identifying and documenting business requirements, rules and functions following standard GTS processes, defining scope of work and obtaining end user department sign off 

  • General knowledge of or skills in the technology marketplace and direction for technologies relevant to one’s areas of expertise or relevant to a specific set of project requirements 

  • General knowledge or skill in researching and evaluating vendor offerings either for products of services meeting business and/or technical requirements, developing vendor selection criteria and, in conjunction with others, developing final recommendation on offerings 

  • General knowledge or skills in estimating high-level budget sufficient to build a solid business case Budgets in this case refer to one-time as well as ongoing “day two” operating costs for products and services, including internal resources level of effort calculated as a cost 

  • Basic knowledge of or skills in planning, designing, developing and documenting technical requirements, including the end users’ view of the system, underlying data structures and system interfaces, supplying sufficient specifications to develop or purchase needed software and acquire a hardware platform 

  • General knowledge of or skills in coordinating projects under 100 hours in effort and $100,000 in budget, providing scope definition, risk analysis, and status updates to appropriate parties, as well as leadership to the project team

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.

Salary Range: $86,000- $106,000

RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
