Recently, Vietnam’s economy has shifted from agriculture sector to industrial and service sectors, resulting in a shift in the exportation of higher value-added products. In addition, Vietnam’s GDP growth accelerated to 6.68% to reach €163.17 billion in 2015. With this growth rate, Vietnam remains one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia.

The country is the 14th most populated country in the world with approximately 91.6 million people in 2015. And it is facing the rising demand for water supply & waste water treatment, and energy in upcoming years.

The market is tremendously promising. The waste water market accounts for €9.1 billion market opportunity until 2025 while the great opportunities accounts €44 billion market size of green technologies in Vietnam until 2030. March 2016, the Prime Minister has approved the adjustment of National Power Development Plan VII (hereinafter referred to as PDP 7 rev) for the period of 2016 – 2030 with the vision to 2030 which highlights stronger emphasis on Renewable Energy Development and on the power market liberalization.
