On 24th-27th November 2015, EVBN’s Green Technologies Trade Mission was successfully organized in Hanoi. Highlights of the Trade Mission:
- The Info Session on 24th November kicked off the Trade Mission with details on the topics of Green Technologies in Vietnam and EU Trade and Investment to Vietnam. We were honoured to have the speeches from H.E. Ambassador Bruno Angelet (Head of EU Delegation to Vietnam), Mr. Christoph Schill (Representative – EUROCHAM’s Green Growth Sector Committee), Mr. Nguyen Dang Anh Thi (Green Technologies Consultant – International Finance Corporation), Mr. Duong Thanh An (Director of Department of Policy and Legal Affairs – Vietnam Environment Administration), Mrs. Thao Nguyen (Legal Consultant – EVBN), and Mrs. Tam Tran (Project Officer – South East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk). Moreover, representatives of some provinces in Vietnam paid a visit to the event and expressed strong interests in Green Technologies from Europe. Thanks to the speakers and participants who dedicated their time and knowledge, the Trade Mission’s companies grasped a good overview of the Vietnamese market and the awaiting opportunities here.
- On 25th-27th November, the companies exhibited and participated in business match-making in the European Pavilion as part of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE & EE) exhibition. More than 60 meetings were successfully organized and many valuable contacts were established among European companies and Vietnamese clients. Notably, the European Pavilion won the Most Attractive Booth award at the RE & EE exhibition.During 3 days of exhibition, the companies had a unique opportunity to present European technologies and increase their visibility. The presence of a European Pavilion at the RE & EE exhibition, which was organized for the first time in Vietnam, contributed to promote Green Technologies in Vietnam.
- On 26th November, CJR Renewables in collaboration with EVBN hosted a Wind Energy Seminar “How To Achieve The Best CAPEX On Your Wind Farm” and a following Networking Cocktail for all participants. The Seminar featured speeches from Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong (Director – Institute of Energy Vietnam), Mr. Gavin Smith (Director – Dragon Capital), Mrs. Vu Chi Mai (Representative – GIZ) and Mr. Paulo Silva (General Manager – CJR Renewables). The event brought together over 40 experts and decision-makers in the Renewable Energy and Wind Energy sectors.
This Trade Mission provided the participating European companies with better understanding about Vietnamese market and direct meetings with potential partners in Vietnam.
